Stephen Goeman is the current President of the Tufts Freethought Society. He is a junior majoring in Philosophy and Cognitive and Brain Science. He has previously served as the Tufts Freethought Society Community Outreach chair and Public Relations representative. His interests include being concise.

Lauren Rose is the Vice President of the Tufts Freethought Society and former Public Relations chair. She was raised in a secular Jewish household that valued intellectualism and compassion. These virtues have stuck with her and today she identifies herself as an atheist cultural Jew. Currently a junior at Tufts, Lauren studies biology and will attend Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine beginning in Fall 2013. Her passions include biology, feminism, self-analysis, literature, board games, German and, of course, animals.

Gabby Raymond is the Secretary of the Tufts Freethought Society. She was raised in a small town on the coast of Maine and didn't define her spiritual beliefs (or rather, non-beliefs) until her freshman year at Tufts. Gabby is a junior double majoring in computer science and mathematics and is an RA in Haskell Hall. She enjoys spending weekend nights in the lab, eating Oreos with peanut butter, reading bedtime stories to her residents, and playing lap tag/eating pizza with her fellow Freethinkers.

Bhushan Deshpande is the Treasurer of the Tufts Freethought Society. He has lived in Eastern Massachusetts for most of his life and came to Tufts from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. He is currently a sophomore majoring in Quantitative Economics and (perhaps) minoring in Mathematics. He is still trying to figure out his beliefs, but in the meantime, he enjoys reading about American, international, and scientific history, complaining about coursework, watching copious amounts of TV with friends, biking around suburbia, and being a total nerd.

Maria Oparil is the Public Relations chairwoman. Ria was raised is from Washington, DC and grew up in a culturally Catholic family. She has always considered herself an atheist and is ecstatic to find a community of likeminded people here in Tufts Freethought Society. At Tufts, Ria is a Political Science major with a Communications and Media Relations. She spends her free time giving campus tours, yelling at hockey games and watching copious amounts of television.

Elizabeth Kaleko is the Programming Chair for the Tufts Freethought Society. She was raised in a conservative Jewish household in New York City, and enjoys learning about her Jewish and Chinese background. Although her father is determined to keep Jewish traditions in her family alive, he was not unsupportive of Elizabeth's choice to join an atheistic/humanistic group. Although she's not an atheist herself, she dislikes the majority of organized religions and what they persue. She is a sociology major with a concentration on social inequalities and social change, and a possible English minor. Apart from academia, Elizabeth spends her time reading, singing to herself, and trying to cure her ear piercing's infection.

Walker Bristol is the Community Organizer and Interfaith Representative, and former Freshman Rep, for the Tufts Freethought Society. Born in North Carolina, Walker attended a Quaker middle school and a Protestant megachurch during high school, before becoming a secular humanist around age fourteen. Walker now writes for the atheist-interfaith blog NonProphet Status, and last summer served as a student intern at the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard. Elsewhere at Tufts, Walker studies comparative religion, ballroom dances, and wears thick-rimmed glasses.

Mark Tyson is the Philanthropy Chair of the Tufts Freethought Society. He comes from the small town of Alamo, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. After going through an angry gaytheist phase during middle-school, he's settled to identifying as an agnostic with a deep respect for religious beliefs. He hopes to graduate in 2014 with a major in International Relations and (fingers crossed) a minor in Computer Science. He enjoys activism, deep discussions, pastrami, China, playing video games and staying up all night procrastinating.

Esi Akaltun is the Freshmen Representative for the Tufts Freethought Society. She is from Turkey and plans to be a Sociology major with a Women Studies minor. She enjoys playing the piano, doing sculptures and wearing anything that has a floral design.
